Summer is here, which means it’s time for one more CG meetup! On this occasion, June 5th, we’re inviting you to a very unusual location – a theater hall in the middle of Vilnius, located in the brutalist building of “Lietuvos kooperatyvų sąjunga” 🙂
Our first guest isMartyna Kašinskaitė. She is an artist and illustrator specializing in character and environment design for animation and video games. Martyna will share her personal journey of what it means to be a drawing artist today. Through her own experience, she’ll reflect on whether being an artist is a constant existential crisis. As a second-generation artist and daughter of a drawing teacher, she’ll explore how that legacy shaped her path and creative choices. The lecture will be in Lithuanian.
Our second guest isModestas Jankauskas. He is a generalist visual artist with 10 years of work experience in the games industry. Starting off as a 2D illustrator/ animator, concept artist and pivoting to 3D eventually, he found himself as an art director at studio “Nieko”. In his talk, Modestas will give some personal advice about what skills he has found to be key in digital art, but are often overlooked or underestimated.
Our final guest isAlexandre Podgorny. He is a creative director and co-founder at Asterman, a digital production company based in Vilnius. With a background in motion design and interactive experiences, Alexandre leads multidisciplinary teams working on cutting-edge CG and AR projects for international clients. His talk will explore collaboration models between studios across borders and how to align creative freedom with production efficiency.
After the talks, we’ll traditionally celebrate the birthday of the Lithuanian Game Developers Association! Cakes and drinks ordered 🎂
