DESCRIPTION:We have a great occasion to meet in Kaunas on October 22\, as the Lithuanian Game Developers Association will hold an event together with Kaunas Fantasy & Sci-fi fan club „Feniksas“\, who are celebrating their 38th birthday! \nThe event will consist of two parts. \nWe will start at 15:00 at Kauno Menininkų Namai (Kaunas Artists‘ House)\, Putvinskio st. 56. \nDuring all the first part of the event we’ll have a workshop dedicated to miniature painting. Learn how to paint miniature figures\, see examples and what materials are needed. Create your own figure and bring it home! We will have all the needed equipment at the spot. \n15:30 Talk by Mārtiņš Ceplis aka Kamazs (Latvia) \nFrontend developer by day (Ubiquity)\, gamedev by night (Pahris Entertainment) \nHear the story behind development of Space Wreck\, a post-apocalyptic RPG in space\, which somehow has Klaipėda in it… \n16:15 Fireside chat with Aivaras Klimas aka Zuurix \nSolo developer with several successful fantasy themed (and fantastic!) games \nWitness the chat about creating games alone\, love of fantasy and its influence to creativity. \nInterviewed by Artūras ‘Artojas’ Rumiancevas \n17:00 Panel discussion: Modern Revivals of Fantasy & Sci-fi Works \nJoin the discussion about a rebirth of fantasy & sci-fi works and themes in different medias\, such as literature\, cinema\, games and more. \nFrom 18:30 everyone is welcome to join the evening birthday party at the nearby bar “Putvinskio 48” (Putvinskio st. 48 :))! \nAll the traditional Feniksadienis activities and more are set for the evening: \n– New members admission ceremony \n– Best costume contest (don’t forget to wear something special!) \n– Painting competition \n– Bar trivia \n– Board games and other fun stuff! \nDon’t forget to register the ticket on Eventbrite! \nThe event is organized by Feniksas and the Lithuanian Game Developers Association.
