Winter is coming… Which means a time for the last event of the year!<\/p>\n

Let’s gather for Gamedev CG Meetup \u2013 Winter 2025<\/em> on December 11<\/strong> at a spacious hall of the Faculty of Creative Industries at VILNIUS TECH university.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A meetup is dedicated to computer graphics and digital art in games and other creative industries.<\/p>\n

The first speaker of the event – Ri\u010dardas Mata\u010dius. <\/em><\/h6>\n

VILNIUS TECH, Faculty of Creative Industries lecturer, TV Commercial, Music Video, Film Director and Editor. Certified Virtual Production visual supervisor.<\/p>\n

Ri\u010dardas will talk about using virtual production technology for creative projects. Throughout the stages of cinema\u2019s development, technology has kept pace with new forms of cinematic expression. <\/span><\/p>\n

Today, film production technology has reached its highest level, where virtual reality, game technologies, and cinematic creative processes merge. Creative expression was most often limited by financial, time, and resource constraints; however, with the use of Virtual Production technology, even the most complex processes become within reach.<\/p>\n

The second speaker is Viktorija Jagelavi\u010di\u016bt\u0117<\/em>.<\/h6>\n

She is a 2D illustrator with experience on AAA titles such as Avowed and The Outer Worlds 2, as well as multiple <\/a><\/span>smaller projects.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Starting her career in the gaming industry in her early twenties, she learned directly from industry veterans at Goodname who shared their experience, advice, and perspectives on succeeding as an artist.<\/p>\n

In her talk, she will share the key lessons learned \u2013 covering artistic growth, essential qualities for artists, professional workflows, adaptability across different project types, and the crucial role of teamwork.<\/p>\n

The third speaker is Tomas Juchnevi\u010d.<\/em><\/h6>\n

An animation director, character animator, and rigger with more than 15 years of experience across film, games, and commercial storytelling. Tomas has worked on major LEGO projects \u2013 including LEGO Jaws, LEGO Star Wars, LEGO Back to the Future, and more.<\/p>\n

In his talk Tomas will tell his story in the animation world \u2013 from watching Smurfs to working on projects for big brands. He will showcase his work and tease his brand new animated short film!<\/p>\n
